Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
With the summer coming to a close in the next few weeks. Kids will be going back to school, in some areas it already has happened. The trees will turn to there beautiful colors. It will be such beautiful scenery. Also what is fast approaching us is the harvest of fruits. It's been a process through out the past several months, between the rain, sun, cool nights and the farmer taking care of them. For him the harvest is now fast approaching, he is making plans to get the crop inside to be sold. As the summer comes to a close I can hear the Lord saying about the fruit that we as Christians are to process, acquire and to walk in. Like the farmer who has to tend to the trees or plants that bring about the produce and like the farmer who helps the crop along, our Lord Jesus is doing the same thing with you and I. He is leading, guiding, nurturing and making adjustments to our lives so that we can process the fruit of the Spirit. As the fruit that we eat for nourishment, that endures harsh weather conditions, we also at times will endure harsh conditions, like the fruit that is eaten for nourishment for our physical body, as we go through all of the harsh conditions the spiritual fruit in our lives will produce an abundant harvest for the Kingdom of God. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. When we have allowed our Lord to grow, nurture, trim and shape our lives so that the fruit of the Spirit becomes to full maturity, then and only then will the manifestation come from the bondages of sin that so easily entangle us. So be encouraged as you go through the process of starting out as a little seed then maturing in to the fullness of Christ. I pray that you and your family be richly blessed in the days ahead.
